Delicate aroma of rose petals, aromatic strawberry, honey-cured bacon & subtle all spice. Flavors of ripe-strawberry-rhubarb jam, cherry and honey with a finish of elegant velvet tannins, soft vanilla oak, ginger and clove.
Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is used for both still and sparkling wines. In the Champagne region of France, they love to blend it with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier to add body to their wines. It is also quite popular in Alsace as a Rosé. Pinot Noir is an argumentative grape, meaning that it is not easy to grow. Many different clones are practiced and selected to bring out the fine characteristics that Pinot Noir is loved for. Being at once delicate, subtle and complex, this wine’s elegance is what encourages growers and winemakers to cultivate this difficult grape. California has been blessed with a few great mesoclimates suitable for Pinot Noir, such as the Russian River Valley, Anderson Valley, Edna Valley, and Carneros.
