Dear Friends:
With summer right around the corner, it's the time of year we start planning for our third annual "Taste the Place" event; a great way to share our winemaking
past and future with our valued club members. It's a great way to learn about Zina's family history while taking in the breathtaking views of Anderson Valley.
Since this event was so successful last year and all those in attendance have committed to coming back, we have decided to add another day so that more of our
wine club members can take advantage of the opportunity to become involved in future prospects while enjoying the picturesque scenery, exquisite wines and an
enjoyable day in the springtime sun.
This year, there is even more to be excited about as two of the first three sites that were visited last year will have been planted. We are thrilled to show
our favorite club members and wine lovers how we have gone about developing and planting these sites. Not only do we get to show you the vineyards, we also get
to offer you the "first pick of the vines" from which your wine will be produced. By attending this event, you will have the first opportunity to reserve your
wine from these vineyards and have your name etched on a placard indicating your personal row of vines!
Both days start off at 9:30 am at the Zina Hyde Cunningham tasting room in Boonville where we will convene and you will be assigned a personal wine consultant
who will accompany us all to our family ranch a few minutes away. We will be sampling some of our most distinguished wines paired with appetizers, and setting
off to tour two vineyard sites, blocks 14 and 15. At block 14, I will present an educational discussion to describe how the vineyards are planted and are
destined to produce world-renowned wines. At block 15, there will be a discussion about the art of making wine in addition to further information to
provide you with assurance about the impeccable quality of the wines these vineyards will produce. Next, we shall journey lakeside to taste futures and new
release wines and allow you to secure your chosen rows of vines. After relaxing by the lake, we will then proceed to a private lodge where a family-style dinner
will be served followed by music and dancing under the stars overlooking the twinkling lights of the Anderson Valley.
July 31 is already fully booked but limited seating is still available for August 1. We are so excited about this event and would love to see you there.
We encourage you to dress comfortably, with layers appropriate for the weather, closed toed shoes and be sure to bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
